case update: Loney Garrett Case – Goose Creek, SC
Loney Garrett was sentenced to five years in prison, suspended to two years of active prison time, followed by five years of probation. A no-animal order was requested by ARR and granted, meaning Mr. Garrett will not be allowed to have any animals during his 5 years of probation.
This case has brought significant attention to animal cruelty in our state and the need for stronger enforcement of the laws that protect animal welfare. 45 dogs were saved, an awful longstanding situation was shut down, other animals were kept from entering that life and a strong case has been added to the books which will help future animal cruelty cases.
We want to thank everyone who has followed the case and supported us over the past 2 years. Be sure to check our website for updates as we will be releasing more information regarding this case and others. Together, we can make a difference.
